Alcoholism the 5 stages of recovery which I went through. All these are the 5 stage s of my healing after alcoholism. Basically some of goals and milestones I put myself. All this came to mind one afternoon once I decided this alcoholism was sufficient and I needed to get sober. I believe everyone who stops drinking at some point in there life has this cent fall moment and the realised was enough. For me having been residing in bed for many weeks and having nearly exhausted every avenue for help. This time was because of me.
I detoxed for seven days before then moved into a halfway house. I needed to be sober for 3 -5 days before I had been aloud in this place. (I was intended to say from the video 7 day complete detox then I was moved into rehab/halfway home - I said 3. It had been 7 full days sober).
Stage 1 - Take Responsibility for yourself and your activities going forward.Make a plan and stick with it and ever look back to start living on the past as your own going through your alcohol retrieval. You need to proceed with your life, out of alcoholism and to recovery. Start being selfish. Essentially what that means its ok to be selfish in recovery from alcohol. This moment is for you and no one else make the most of it. This time will only come after, so cherish it.
Stage 2 Fragrant the plan I had created to quit drinking alcohol. Never deviate from the strategy. The only person who had been in my own way was me. during your alcohol recovery This is going to be the same for you. Hurry through that barrier and just do what you have planned. Try this you'll be surprised how successful it is.
Stage 3 - Halfway home and exercise/fitness Once I got myself recognized in my new home I began to concentrate on m fitness and health after alcoholism. This was not too hard to perform believe it or not. They were two people in the alcohol rehabilitation unit which were chefs. So food wise we had anything we wanted. Fundamentally when people used to go to the place. For example a relative. They always used to state something along the lines. This area is like a holiday camp with no alcohol. Or We would state in the UK it like Butlins minus the beer.
You have to start working o your psychological health after alcoholism to sobriety. It will get very confusing having an alcoholic and if you stop drinking fog settles and its only then will you see what work Has to Be done mentally and physically
Phase 5 - Getting back into society and back into work following alcoholism. Getting yourself back into work and becoming established in a house and apartment on the outside (so to speak) is a small daunting task. To a people that had never lived alone or not really had to care for their finances. When you quit drinking and you get sober you want to really work at getting out yourself in society. You need to get out there and start speaking to people on a daily basis following your alcoholism. This works creators for your mental health when you're sober and on the path to recovery.
